JULY 28, 2010 -- The Pac-10 unveiled new branding and a new website for the Pac-10 beginning this upcoming season. The conference will officially undergo a name change once two new schools join the grouping.

The announcement was made on Tuesday, as conference commissioner Larry Scott confirmed that the Pac-10 will become the Pac-12 for the 2011-12 season, once both the University of Colorado and the University of Utah are welcomed to the fold. This will be the first time since 1978 that the conference will see a different moniker, as in that year Arizona and Arizona State joined what was then the Pac-8.
